CPR (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation) - in Dutch

CPR (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation) can safe lives and is easy to learn!

Every hour two people in the Netherlands die of heart- or respiration failures. For some victims this could have been prevented. If onlookers know CPR, lives can be saved, also your own life.

The most appearing causes of heart- or respiration failures are drowning, suffocation, myocardial infarction or an accident with electricity. The first 15 minutes is crucial. At home, at school, during sports or at work: everywhere you can encounter a heart- or respiration failure. An ambulance takes around 15 minutes to arrive, and these 15 minutes minutes are vital. If a victim receives CPR the chances of survival are improving. When an AED is nearbey and someone knows how to use it, the chances of survival are even bigger.
